The Technology
The proprietary technology that goes into Repeltec sprays, results in the controlled release of Picaridin - an active ingredient typically used in skin lotions - to actively keep insects out of spaces for longer periods than traditional solutions.
Product features
Because Picaridin is a synthetic molecule inspired by compounds found in pepper plants, it is safe to use around people and pets and does not irritate skin if you accidentally spray it on your hands. Because we repel insects without killing them, Repeltec does not damage your local ecosystem unlike toxic products that contain Permethrin, DEET, or other lethal pesticides.
Reapply every 2-3 months or when you see ants returning. Repeltec is easy to use, just spray a thin layer onto clean surfaces and allow it to air dry for a few minutes. Simply use soap and water to remove Repeltec from floors any surfaces where you don’t want it.

Walls and Doors and Window Frames: Prevent cockroaches from entering through doors and windows by spraying on and around doors, and door and window frames, and cut off their favorite routes by spraying on walls.
Cupboards: Spray on the sides, front panels, under and in storage spaces such as cupboards, wardrobes and boxes.
Kitchen / bathroom tiles and backsplashes: cockroaches love kitchens, so block them from nesting and keep them out. Do not spray directly on food or utensils. Avoid spraying onto floors or smooth surfaces like glass or ceramic, as it may leave a slight residue.

I like that it is safe and I can use it in my kitchen. I did wish it would actually kill cockroaches but maybe I should have a different product for this.
